You can execute a Playbook from Playbook Editor and from Playbook Engine pages.

Take a look at the short video below and then deep dive into our step-by-step guide further below.

Running a Playbook from Playbook Editor

Click on "Run" and the Playbook will start execution. You should be able to see the output of the Playbook under "Output" tab as shown below.

If Playbook requires any runtime argument, you will be prompted to enter their value

You will also notice the "Play" icon change its color from "Orange (Queued and In-Progress), to either "Green" (Successful) or "Red" (Failure).

Running a Playbook from Playbook Engine

Click on "View" icon next to the Playbook you wish to run under "Available Playbooks" section to take a look at the playbook.

Click on "Use" to initiate the execution. Just like before, if playbook requires any runtime arguments, you will be prompted to provide that.

You can see the Playbook under "Used Playbooks" section and notice the status of the Playbook change from "New" to "Processing" to "Done" as it progresses through its execution.

Clicking on the status will open up the Playbook and you can see the progress of execution along with its output.

Once executed, the output will be available under "Scroll" on the left side.
